Litigation and Compliance Counsel - Remote

About the position Responsibilities • Provide practical and proactive legal advice and support for cross-functional business partners on product safety and compliance issues. • Manage informal complaints from customers or competitors regarding sales and marketing practices. • Oversee non-employment litigation matters, including class actions and IP litigation, and manage outside counsel. • Collaborate with litigation paralegals to manage discovery obligations and provide relevant documents for litigation. • Track pending litigation matters, assigned outside counsel, case status, and potential exposure. • Represent the company in mediations, depositions, and court as needed. • Stay informed of relevant regulations and case law to provide strategic compliance guidance. Requirements • J.D. from a nationally recognized law school and license to practice in one of the 48 contiguous states. • 5-8 years' litigation or compliance experience with a top law firm or in-house with an established company. • Knowledge of litigation, product, and marketing compliance issues in a business setting. • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Strong negotiation skills and ability to resolve issues independently. • High level of computer skills and ability to work in a high-volume environment.
