Lien Negotiator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Lien Negotiator to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience handling medical bills, subrogation liens, and legal documentation within a law firm, insurance company, medical billing office, or similar environment. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
Assist lien negotiators with the review, organization, and analysis of medical bills, insurance statements, and lien-related documentation.

Request, track, and follow up on lien information, itemized statements, and outstanding balances.

Maintain accurate and updated lien logs, case notes, and documentation within the firm’s case management system.

Collaborate with case managers, paralegals, and attorneys to ensure efficient case resolution and timely disbursement.

Manage correspondence from subrogation providers and inform lien negotiators of communications requiring action.

Support the negotiation and resolution process by organizing and monitoring required documentation.

Uphold confidentiality and comply with all legal, ethical, and firm-specific standards.

Ensure all case files and records remain organized, complete, and up to date.

Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of medical terminology and legal documentation.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Previous experience in a law firm, insurance company, medical billing office, or related field preferred.

Proficiency with case management software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Ability to review, analyze, and reconcile medical bills and subrogation liens for distribution sheets.

Familiarity with personal injury cases, medical billing, or lien resolution is a plus.

Experience with CLIO is considered a strong advantage.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and cases simultaneously.

High attention to detail and accuracy in document management and data entry.
