Position Overview
We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) to provide remote counseling as a 1099 independent contractor. The role includes providing therapy sessions, updating treatment plans, and maintaining progress notes — without the added responsibility of intake assessments.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct individual therapy, couples counseling, and/or family therapy for clients with various behavioral health and mental health concerns.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, and Motivational Interviewing.
• Update and maintain accurate treatment plans and session notes in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other providers and coordinate client care when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical guidelines, and billing documentation standards.
• Participate in occasional case reviews or consultations as requested.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
• Active Louisiana independent license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred.
• Skilled in conducting therapy via telehealth platforms.
• Strong diagnostic and assessment abilities.
• Excellent communication, rapport-building, and client engagement skills.
• Passion for delivering client-centered care in a virtual setting.
• Access to reliable internet and a private workspace.
Compensation & Details
• Pay: Starting at $28/hour (commensurate with experience)
• Part-time, Contract (1099) – contractor responsible for own taxes
• No benefits provided
• Flexible schedule with preference for evening/weekend availability
• Remote work — must reside in Louisiana
