Licensed Maryland Psychotherapist – Remote | 1099 | 70/30 Split [Must Live in DC/MD/VA]
Adonis Therapy and Wellness LLC is a growing, fully virtual group practice providing inclusive, affirming, and evidence-based care for adults and couples. We specialize in treating anxiety/depression, life transitions, identity exploration, perinatal mental health, and trauma. We are especially passionate about holding space for BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodivergent clients. We are currently hiring one fully licensed therapist, who has experience working with the perinatal population to join our collaborative and supportive team as an Independent Contractor (1099)! What We Offer (as available resources to support your independent practice): • 70/30 split (contractor/company) on all billed sessions • Flexible scheduling – you determine your hours and desired caseload • Referrals available to help you build and maintain your caseload (you may accept or decline any referral) • Optional administrative support (e.g., scheduling, billing, intake assistance) • Access to EHR and insurance billing platform (Headway) • Marketing and referral support via the practice website and social media presence (at the Company’s discretion) • Opportunities for peer consultation and community connection (optional) • Free CE opportunities provided through the Headway platform • Collaborative practice culture that values authenticity, inclusion, and growth (contractors may participate as much or as little as desired) Requirements: • Active, independent clinical license in Maryland (e.g., LCPC, LCMFT, LCSW-C). Licensure in additional states is welcome but not required. • Experience working with the perinatal population is strongly preferred. • Applicants must live in either DC, Maryland, or Virginia, in order to meet the criteria of being credentialed with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. • Ability to manage your own caseload according to your availability and preferences (no minimum requirement) • Experience working with adults in a telehealth setting preferred • Willingness to complete insurance credentialing through Headway (our billing platform) as part of onboarding • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care • Alignment with inclusive, culturally responsive therapy values Independent Contractors are responsible for providing and maintaining: • Active independent clinical license in Maryland (in good standing) • Professional liability insurance • Psychology Today (or comparable professional directory) profile • Reliable internet access and a secure, private workspace suitable for telehealth Please note: This opportunity is only open to independently licensed mental health professionals. Applicants who hold only certifications, CEUs, graduate licenses, or paraprofessional credentials (e.g., ABA technicians) will not be considered. Additionally, candidates must hold an active license to practice independently in Maryland. Applicants not licensed in Maryland and not residing in the DMV area will not be considered.
