Licensed Civil Engineer
Civil Engineer (PE) – Site Civil / Land Development
Artin is seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer (PE) to join our growing engineering team in Southern California. This role focuses on site civil engineering, land development, grading, drainage, utility design, and public/private infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical experience, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to manage projects from planning through construction support.
Our team works on a wide range of commercial, industrial, public agency, and infrastructure projects throughout California and other states. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in the growth of our civil engineering department.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and manage site civil engineering design documents including:
• Grading plans
• Drainage and stormwater systems
• Utility plans
• Erosion control and BMP plans
• WQMP/LID documentation
• Perform hydrology and hydraulic calculations and analysis
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, utility agencies, and public agencies
• Prepare technical reports, construction documents, specifications, and permit submittals
• Review plans for code compliance and constructability
• Attend meetings with clients, municipalities, and project teams
• Provide construction administration and respond to RFIs/submittals as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 7+ years of experience in site civil engineering / land development
• Strong experience with grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design
• Experience with public agency and municipal projects preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required
• Experience preparing WQMP/LID reports preferred
• Knowledge of Southern California agency standards and permitting processes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Experience
• Public works or transportation-related projects
• Pipeline and utility infrastructure design
• Hydrology and hydraulic modeling
• Caltrans or municipal project experience
• Construction support and plan review experience
