Legal Secretary / Paralegal (Litigation) – Temp to Perm
A litigation-focused law firm is seeking a
part-time Legal Secretary / Paralegal
to support attorneys handling high-impact cases across consumer protection, privacy, environmental law, Proposition 65, and False Claims Act matters. The firm also advises on regulatory compliance and serves as outside counsel for government entities.
Position Overview
This role will support a range of litigation activities and is ideal for someone with strong experience in civil litigation who can operate independently in a remote environment. This is a
temp-to-perm opportunity
with potential for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide litigation support including drafting, formatting, and filing legal documents
• Manage court filings (state and federal), calendaring deadlines, and case tracking
• Assist with discovery, document management, and trial preparation
• Coordinate with attorneys on pleadings, motions, and case materials
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court procedures
• Support regulatory and compliance-related matters as needed
Qualifications
• Prior experience as a Legal Secretary or Paralegal with
litigation experience required
• Familiarity with court filing systems and litigation procedures
• Experience supporting civil litigation matters (Proposition 65 experience is a plus)
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
