As a Legal Proofreader, your exceptional listening skills and unwavering commitment to accuracy will play a pivotal role in transforming recorded legal proceedings into flawless written documents. We suggest being able to commit to at least 20 physical hours per week. Join a rapidly growing company that knows how to take care of its team!Candidate Minimum Requirements:Be a U.S. citizenPossess a high school diploma or equivalentAvailability to commit to 20+ physical hours per week· Minimum of 3 years’ legal industry proofreading experience, preferably reviewing filings, pleadings, as well as transcriptsAbility to ensure all transcripts meet or surpass 98% accuracy with strong attention to detail and research capabilities as well as exceptional listening skills for verbatim transcriptionExceptional written communication skills (proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar)Working knowledge of legal formatting requirements such as Bluebook OR any style guide such as GPO, GAO, Chicago, Associated Press, etc.Computer proficiency, including Microsoft WordRequired Technology:Reliable high speed internet servicePC with Windows 7 or higherMicrosoft WordQuality headphonesInfinity USB-1 or USB-2 foot pedalCompensation: Per-page rate with occasional incentive increase based on performanceLocation: 100% remoteJob Type: Independent contractorWe’re an equal opportunity employer.
