Legal Operations Specialist, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
? 2 years of experience working in an online content moderation role or within a legal operations environment.
? Experience with legal principles related to trademark, privacy, defamation, and online content regulations.

Preferred qualifications:
? Experience working with internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environments.
? Experience in content moderation.
? Experience in support operations.
? Experience with SQL and spreadsheets.
? Ability to communicate in English and other languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish or Arabic) fluently to support interactions with local stakeholders.

The team enhances the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.

In this role, you will work on tasks within the scope of a policy project that has meaningful impact with direct supervision. You will address policy issues and develop an understanding of policy development and implementation. You will also engage in community contributions to improve our culture and operations.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $72,000-$101,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
? Manage removal requests relating to various legal issues, including trademark, privacy, defamation, court orders, and requests from law enforcement and government agencies.
? Address internal and external inquiries about YouTube's legal removal processes.
? Collaborate within a team to enhance processes, improve operational quality, and increase scalability.
? Contribute to developing educational materials and designing new workflows to align with the goals of the business. Review graphic, controversial, or offensive video content.
? Demonstrate availability for occasional remunerated on-call coverage during weekends.
