The Center for Climate Integrity (CCI) seeks a legal intern to support the organization’s work to help communities hold oil and gas corporations accountable for the massive costs of climate change. Description Overview The Center for Climate Integrity (CCI) seeks a legal intern to support the organization’s work to help communities hold oil and gas corporations accountable for the massive costs of climate change. This full-time, remote internship will run from the end of May to August 2026 with flexible start and end dates. CCI will provide a monthly stipend of $3,000 (prorated as applicable). Interns should expect to work 35-40 hours per week on a regular schedule agreed upon with their supervisor for a period of at least 10 weeks. Responsibilities Conduct legal and factual research, writing and analysis. Prepare legal memorandums and briefs in support of climate and plastics liability litigation under attorney supervision. Monitor and track developments in U.S. law and policy that have implications for climate and plastics liability litigation. Cite-check and proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and proper citation format. Attend and observe meetings, conferences, and court proceedings, and participate in internal team meetings (virtual). Required Qualifications Completion of at least one year of law school from an accredited institution Demonstrated commitment to corporate accountability as well as environmental and climate justice Excellent legal research and writing skills Ability to effectively manage your own time and work independently Problem solver with an entrepreneurial approach Commitment to working as part of a nimble, mission-driven team Technology Requirements CCI is an all-remote organization, and interns will need to arrange for some of their own infrastructure and tools, including a personal computer and workspace with reliance internet connection.
