Legal Counsel
We are seeking a Legal Counsel with experience in commercial contracts to join our growing legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements while providing strategic legal advice to support our business operations and growth objectives.
Responsibilities and Duties
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including service agreements, software licenses, SaaS agreements, NDAs, DPAs and partnership agreements.
Provide practical concise legal advice on commercial and contractual matters to internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with sales, product, and operations teams to develop and implement contract templates and processes to reduce legal risks and ensure compliance.
Support the legal team in maintaining and updating internal policies and procedures.
Provide ad-hoc assistance with matters relating to IP and litigation with supervision.
Stay informed about legal and regulatory developments relevant to the industry and provide proactive recommendations to ensure compliance.
Support the legal team in various ad-hoc legal projects and initiatives as needed.
The ideal candidate will be:
Qualified legal professional with at least 2 years of experience in handling commercial contracts, preferably within a tech or SaaS company.
Commercially focussed problem solver with experience of working with sales and procurement teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear, concise and persuasive manner.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Proactive can-do attitude, self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote environment
Comfortable advising on employment law across multiple jurisdictions
