Legal Assistant / Litigation Support (Hybrid – Louisville Area)
Rue Law Group is a small but growing civil rights and education litigation practice seeking a highly organized, adaptable, intelligent person to assist with litigation support, client communication, case management, and practice operations.
This is not a traditional large-firm paralegal job. The work is substantive, fast-moving, emotionally meaningful, and often intense. The right person will receive direct mentorship, meaningful responsibility, flexible scheduling, and unusual exposure to high-level litigation and advocacy work.
Our practice frequently involves disability rights, education law, and advocacy for children and families navigating difficult institutional systems. Applicants with personal or professional familiarity with disability, education, advocacy, or mission-driven work are especially encouraged to apply, including parents of children with disabilities.
Position Details
• Hybrid position based in the Louisville area
• Guaranteed minimum: 20 hours/week
• Starting compensation: $16–18/hour depending on experience
• Structured raises and retention incentives available
• Long-term growth potential for the right candidate
No prior legal experience is required. However, applicants must possess either:
• a four-year degree, or
• a two-year paralegal certification
