Job Title: Legal and Policy Business Sourcer (Contract) Duration: 12 Months Contract Location: Open to remote US PR: $145/hr on W2 Position Details Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Development • Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for Legal and Policy roles, proactively identifying and engaging passive candidates from law firms, in-house legal teams, government agencies, think tanks, and policy organizations • Build and maintain robust talent pipelines across diverse candidate pools, including attorneys with technology and IP expertise, regulatory specialists, policy researchers, and government affairs professionals • Develop creative sourcing strategies to diversify candidate sources beyond inbound applications and referrals, driving toward a balanced mix of passive, inbound, and referral hires • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to understand talent landscapes, compensation benchmarks, and emerging trends in legal and policy hiring Candidate Engagement & Experience • Craft compelling, personalized outreach that resonates with legal and policy professionals and effectively communicates Anthropic's mission and the unique opportunity to shape AI governance • Serve as the first point of contact for passive candidates, delivering an exceptional candidate experience that reflects Anthropic's values • Build long-term relationships with prospective candidates, nurturing talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs • Collaboration & Operations • Partner closely with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to understand role requirements, calibrate on candidate profiles, and align on sourcing priorities • Maintain accurate data hygiene in Gem and Greenhouse, ensuring pipeline health and enabling data-driven insights • Participate in hiring syncs, pipeline reviews, and team meetings to share market insights and sourcing updates • Contribute to sourcing enablement initiatives and share best practices across the broader recruiting team Requirements Required Qualifications • 3+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience, with demonstrated success recruiting for Legal, Policy, Government Affairs, or related G&A functions Proven track record of engaging and converting passive candidates in competitive talent markets Strong understanding of the legal and policy talent landscape, including law firm structures, government agencies, and policy organizations Proficiency with sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, and Boolean search techniques • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling candidate outreach • Data-driven mindset with experience tracking sourcing metrics and pipeline health Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously • Nice to Have Experience recruiting at a high-growth technology company or for emerging/frontier technology sectors • Familiarity with AI policy, technology law, privacy and data protection, or regulatory affairs Previous experience in a legal or policy environment (law firm, government agency, think tank, or in-house legal team) • Experience with Greenhouse ATS and Gem CRM Interest in or passion for AI safety and the responsible development of artificial intelligence Apply tot his job
