About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled LMS Administrator to manage, configure, and continuously improve our Learning Management System. As a key member of the Technology team, you will serve as the subject matter expert for the LMS platform—ensuring system integrity, providing advanced technical support, and driving adoption across the organization.

This role partners closely with our Learning Product team to translate instructional needs into scalable, effective solutions within the LMS.

Key Responsibilities
LMS Administration & Configuration
• Own all aspects of LMS administration including user management, roles and permissions, integrations, and platform settings
• Manage system upgrades, releases, and patches in coordination with vendors
• Monitor system performance, uptime, and data integrity; proactively resolve issues
• Maintain clear documentation of system configurations and processes
• Manage third-party integrations and single sign-on (SSO) connections

Technical Support (Tier 2/3)
• Serve as the escalation point for complex LMS-related issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to enrollment, grading, access, and integrations
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve bugs and system issues
• Maintain a knowledge base of solutions and FAQs

Learning Product Collaboration
• Partner with instructional and learning teams on course design and platform capabilities
• Support development of scalable course templates and structures
• Configure and launch courses, programs, and learning pathways
• Translate instructional requirements into LMS functionality
• Recommend tools and features to enhance the learner and instructor experience

Training & Adoption
• Deliver training for faculty, staff, and administrators on LMS best practices
• Create user guides and documentation for different audiences
• Promote platform adoption and increase awareness of LMS capabilities

Reporting & Data
• Generate and analyze LMS reports and learning analytics
• Maintain accurate enrollment records and support compliance reporting

Qualifications
Required
• 3+ years of LMS administration or similar ed-tech platform experience
• Hands-on experience with a major LMS (Canvas strongly preferred)
• Strong understanding of LMS architecture (courses, roles, permissions, integrations)
• Experience supporting technical systems in a structured IT environment
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Preferred
• Experience working with instructional designers or curriculum teams
• Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, or other eLearning standards
• Experience with SSO (SAML, OAuth) and system integrations (SIS, APIs)
• Background in K-12, higher education, or workforce learning environments

Location: Remote - must be based in the US
Work Schedule
• Full time role
• Travel may be required on an as needed basis to campus

Compensation:
The anticipated salary for this role is $90,000 to $95,000 based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
