Provide technical leadership across the squad, guiding engineers on system design, development best practices, and incident response

Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, testing standards, CI/CD practices, and documentation

Mentor engineers across levels, supporting growth, feedback, and alignment with career progression frameworks

Collaborate with Staff Engineers and Engineering Managers to evolve platform architecture, scalability, and reliability

Partner with product, analytics, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions

Own delivery outcomes in ambiguous or cross-functional initiatives, ensuring clarity, accountability, and execution

Promote a culture of quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the team

What you’ll need:

7+ years of experience in data engineering, including technical leadership or lead experience

Experience working with healthcare data (e.g., claims, EMR, clinical datasets) required

Strong proficiency with modern data tools and AWS (or other cloud platforms) required

Advanced Python and SQL skills, with a focus on testing, observability, and maintainable code required

Proven track record building and owning scalable data platforms or infrastructure

Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), data governance/quality, and migrating legacy systems to scalable architectures

Deep expertise in system design, data modeling, and scalable data architecture

Ability to navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and drive technical decisions across teams
