Lead Software Engineer AI Brand Protection Platform (m / f / d)
At Sentryc, we protect global brands from counterfeiting and brand abuse with an AI-powered SaaS platform that scans the internet for IP infringements. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will drive the development of our platform by staying hands-on with code and helping shape our technical direction. You’ll collaborate closely with the CTO and CPO to translate business needs into impactful technical solutions, while promoting engineering excellence across a small but ambitious team. Architect, design, develop, and deploy features for our microservices-based platform Improve performance, security, and scalability using Java 11, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, AWS, Docker, GraphQL, and testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Spring Boot Test Set clear technical direction and ensure clean, maintainable code through best practices Conduct code reviews and support a culture of continuous learning and technical growth Work closely with the CTO and CPO to transform product needs into robust system solutions Coach and inspire a cross-functional team of backend and frontend developers Monitor system performance and proactively implement improvements Keep up with emerging technologies and assess their potential value for our platform 5+ years of experience in backend or full-stack development Expert knowledge of Java and Spring Boot Experience working with distributed systems and cloud-native architecture Solid understanding of agile development workflows Excellent communication skills and fluent English Bonus : Experience with AWS, GCP, or monitoring tools like Datadog Meaningful work : You contribute to protecting companies and consumers from counterfeiting and digital fraud One month per year “work from anywhere” policy Hybrid work setup and modern office in central Berlin (40% on-site) A fast-paced, collaborative environment with flat hierarchies Space to take ownership and shape how we build and improve our platform Apply tot his job
