About the Role We are seeking a Senior Engineering Lead to provide technical leadership for teams building and operating cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure using the .NET stack. This is a hands-on role responsible for driving architecture, code quality, delivery excellence, and DevOps maturity while partnering closely with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to execute on the roadmap. Key Responsibilities Act as the technical lead for one or more delivery teams, owning solution design and technical direction. Design, build, and evolve cloud-native applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET 6+/Core). Define and enforce architectural standards, coding standards, and best practices. Lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making. Architect and implement Azure-based solutions (App Services, Functions, AKS, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault, SQL). Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps; promote DevOps and automation best practices. Partner with Product Owners to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and delivery plans. Ensure non-functional requirements are met (performance, reliability, security, observability, scalability). Lead technical troubleshooting of complex production issues and drive root cause analysis. Mentor senior and mid-level engineers; raise the technical bar across the team. Drive technical debt management and modernization initiatives. Required Qualifications 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong depth in .NET (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/.NET). Proven experience designing and leading delivery of cloud-native systems on Microsoft Azure. Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines, environments, release strategies). Experience leading technical design and acting as a primary technical owner for services or platforms. Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and RESTful API design. Solid experience with data persistence (Azure SQL/SQL Server, NoSQL where applicable). Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices (Clean Architecture, SOLID, automated testing, CI/CD). Experience working in Agile/Kanban delivery models. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, AKS/Kubernetes). Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform). Event-driven architectures (Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hubs). Observability and monitoring (Application Insights, Azure Monitor). Security best practices in cloud environments (identity, secrets management, least privilege). Azure certifications (AZ-204, AZ-305) a plus. Frontend experience (React/Angular) a plus.
