Who We're Looking For A Lead Software Development Engineer has the responsibilities to develop anddesign new applications and perform life cycle support for existing applications. In this role, you will support the development effort for subsystems (or major components) of large-scale projects. This position is also responsible for building, delivering, enhancing and supporting Syniverse Products and Services. The incumbent will be technically hands on, possess a good experience and skill across engineering functions. - Some of What You'll Do Responsibilities This position will be individual contributor role within the scrum team and leading transformative initiatives involving application modernization & supporting POCs on different technologies. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others are absolutely critical to this role. Proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow things through. Ability to interact with scrum team, solution architects, product owners and cross functional teams. Ability to work proficiently and effectively in an Agile / Scrum feature team environment. Ensure that the team and associated applications adhere to architecture standards, risk management and security guidelines keep abreast with the latest developments in third party and custom development technologies Adopt to new technologies and methodologies and drive solutions Preferred Skills & Experience - Hands on experience on Java, Spring boot, Hibernate, microservices architecture and other java-based frameworks application development. Experience with RESTful APIs and web services. Exposure to front-end technologies (Angular, React) Knowledge of working in Oracle relational databases Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases Experience in Linux operating environment is required. Experience in Unit testing, Debugging and troubleshooting Skills, coupled with a desire to take on responsibilities Hands on experience with TDD/BDD or with a keen ability to work in TDD/BDD. 5–10 years of professional experience in Java development - Why You Should Join Us Join us as we write a new chapter, guided by world-class leadership.
