Our remote-first tools lets you control your cameras from anywhere in the world.About the roleWe are seeking an exceptional QA Engineering Lead to join our team and rapidly build out the future of our Automated QA Environment. As a robotics and video platform we have many exciting challenges.You'll have the chance to work on a revolutionary platform that's transforming the way people interact with cameras, and we believe, all devices. You will make a significant impact on our product and work on a wide range of projects and technologies, expanding your skill set.ResponsibilitiesDesign, devlop, and maintain software, that verifies the reliability of the platform on all surfaces the platform runs on Browser+Electron (TS+React); Desktop (Go+Rust); Embedded (Go+Rust).Set the ground work for all aspects of Automated QA testing, including writing initial integration tests and mentoring other engineers who are writing tests.Develop processes that facilitate and ideally automate all aspects of the QA process, including (someday) writing tests...Ensure every customer's Iris experience is reliable and dependable in any setting, and for any production budget.Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field, including having an opinion on the place of LLMs and AI agents in the QA testing process and continuously updating this opinion as the area evolvesWhat we're looking forProven experience as a seasoned Software EngineerExperience with Automated QA in both Web Browsers and RoboticsStrong proficiency in JS/TS; Go; and Rust (or a willingness to learn Rust)Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think criticallyStrong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively in a remote teamPassion for innovation and the ability to take ownership of complex projectsAbout you You have a genuine passion for computer science and software engineering, and you enjoy working on personal projects outside of workYou are proactive in staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the fieldYou have a diverse range of interests and can bring a unique perspective to problem-solving and innovationYou understand the challenges and opportunities associated with working in a small, fast-paced startup environmentYou are comfortable with increased autonomy, wider job expectations, and the need to be flexible and adaptable in a rapidly changing environmentIf you're excited about the opportunity to join a passionate team working on cutting-edge technology, we'd love to hear from you.
