Lead Dispatcher - Weekends
Job Description:
The 1987 Group is seeking a highly organized and proactive Lead Dispatcher to oversee our dispatch operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dispatching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. As the Lead Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the dispatch of our drivers, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Supervise and manage the evening dispatch team, providing guidance and support.
ā¢ Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of drivers to meet client needs.
ā¢ Monitor real-time dispatch operations to ensure efficiency and resolve any issues that arise.
ā¢ Communicate with clients to provide updates and address concerns.
ā¢ Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and prepare reports as needed.
ā¢ Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to dispatch operations.
ā¢ Collaborate with other departments to optimize service delivery and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
ā¢ Proven experience as a dispatcher or supervisory role.
ā¢ Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
ā¢ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
ā¢ Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stress situations effectively.
ā¢ Proficiency in dispatch software and technology.
ā¢ High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or a related field is a plus.
Shift:
Thursday - Sunday 10 am - 10 pm EST
