Lead Dispatcher

Job Description: The 1987 Group is seeking a highly organized and proactive Lead Dispatcher to oversee our dispatch operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dispatching, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively. As the Lead Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the dispatch of our drivers, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and manage the evening dispatch team, providing guidance and support. • Coordinate and schedule the dispatch of drivers to meet client needs. • Monitor real-time dispatch operations to ensure efficiency and resolve any issues that arise. • Communicate with clients to provide updates and address concerns. • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and prepare reports as needed. • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures related to dispatch operations. • Collaborate with other departments to optimize service delivery and improve operational efficiency. Requirements: • Proven experience as a dispatcher or supervisory role. • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work under pressure and handle high-stress situations effectively. • Proficiency in dispatch software and technology. • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or a related field is a plus.
