Lead DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a talented DevOps SRE to join our team and help ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our Cloud Services and Kubernetes infrastructure. You will work closely with our development, operations, and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and maintain our Cloud infrastructure hosted within Azure and AWS. You will be responsible formonitoring the health and performance of the Cloud Infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing automation to streamline operations. THE OPPORTUNITY Design, deploy, and maintainhighly available and scalable AWS and Azure infrastructureMaintain infrastructure using Terraform and deployment pipelinesCollaborate with product development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration of applications into the Kubernetes (EKS) environmentMonitor (Grafana/Prometheus/Graylog) the health and performance of Vendavo Cloud services and Kubernetes clusters, implementing proactive measures to prevent issuesTroubleshoot and resolve production incidentsOptimize resource allocation and utilizationAutomate deployment, configuration, and monitoring of Kubernetes clusters using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management toolsImplement and maintain CI/CD (Azure) pipelines for deploying applicationsCollaborate with security teams to ensure compliance and implement best practices for securing infrastructureBe an SME within the Cloud handling requests, issues and escalations as neededParticipate in capacity planning and performance tuning of the AWS and AzureinfrastructureStay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystem THE SKILLS 12+ years proven experience managing Azure/AWS infrastructure and Production Grade Kubernetes clustersStrong experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure or AWS infrastructure in a Production environmentAbility to work independently and as a team and multi-task to a high degreeIn-depth knowledge of AWS, Azure/Kubernetes architecture, components, and best practicesProficient in core Cloud services, including VPC, VNET, RG’s, IAM, App ServicesExperience with AWS/Azure backup, recovery and replicationExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as TerraformFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools Prometheus, Grafana, and GraylogSolid understanding of networking concepts and protocols in the context of KubernetesStrong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python)Excellent experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure PipelinesExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications/Skills:AWS/Azure certified Terraform certification (HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate)Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and AzureFamiliarity with service mesh technologies like Istio Understanding of DevOps principles and practicesExperience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Chef THE BENEFITS Professional growth and Development opportunities.Working within a team of friendly, skilled people where help is always within reachFlexible working hours4 recharge days, where the entire company goes on a brief pause in all geographies for 1 day each quarter.
