About the Role As a Lead Data Science Consultant at blithequark, you will be responsible for owning the full analytics development cycle, from mining and analyzing data to building predictive models using NLP and Machine Learning techniques. Your expertise will help identify performance issues and opportunities, deliver meaningful insights, and build documentation of validation methods and results. Key Responsibilities Lead complex initiatives by utilizing data-driven, advanced analytical, statistical techniques, algorithms, or models to make actionable insights, trends, and recommendations that drive business outcomes. Build support for and deliver recommendations in complex and multi-faceted situations, requiring expertise in analytical thinking and a strong technical skillset to resolve business issues. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to drive recommendations and strategies based on data-driven insights, trends, and patterns. Execute complex analytical experiments and create innovative statistical models to discover solutions for abstract business problems across various domains. Interpret and analyze data using advanced analytics modeling methods and programming to recommend ways to solve problems and influence business decisions and strategies. Provide consultation to peers on data science best practices, methods, and tools to leverage, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation. Communicate actionable insights and recommendations using data in a digestible format to a non-technical audience of varying levels, ensuring that stakeholders are informed and empowered to make data-driven decisions. Qualifications and Requirements Essential Qualifications 5+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science. Preferred Qualifications Fluency in SAS, Python, SQL (Teradata), and experience with Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Large Language Model (LLM) experience is preferred, as well as extensive model development and model validation experience, including end-to-end model build efforts from discovery to deployment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex material to a diverse audience. Adept at designing and performing model testing, including explainability, robustness, and fairness testing. Proficient in creating accompanying documentation in the model development process.
