Lead Data Governance Consultant
To Apply for this Job Click Here Compensation: 60 USD – 75 USD / Hour • **We are unable to work with 3rd-party or corp-to-corp candidates for this position*** Overview: Our client will be hiring a Lead Data Governance Consultant with Collibra expertise for a 6 month Contract. This Contract will be 100% REMOTE (US only). Responsibilities: • Drive the planning and execution of Data/BI governance initiatives, tasks, and deliverables. • Drive timely completion of governance activities and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. • Proactively identify and resolve issues, mitigating risks before they impact deliverables. • Escalate blockers promptly to appropriate forums for resolution. • Coach and mentor team members on data governance principles, practices, policies, standards, and deliverables. • Drive metadata curation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and quality within the business glossary. • Collect, develop, and implement Data Quality (DQ) rules • Ensure semantic alignment of technical metadata (e.g., column names, data types, lineage, physical storage attributes) with enterprise data domains, preserving business meaning across all abstraction layers. Qualifications: • 8 years of experience in data governance and data management implementations. • Experience leading data governance, data management, data quality, and data stewardship collaboration. • Strong understanding of DAMA/DMBOK framework. • Familiarity with data modeling • Hands-on experience with Collibra Data Governance and Collibra Data Quality tools. • Prior experience in Delivering Data governance work in Agile set up is a huge plus.
