Lead Communications Specialist

In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact marketing strategies and communications for various projects. Your work will support key initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational visibility and engagement through strategic communications and marketing campaigns. You will collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Manager to create effective public-facing documents and assist in campaign execution. Your contributions will help ensure that our messaging is clear, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. Accountabilities • Create public/internal facing documents. • Assist in conducting campaigns using email marketing services. • Maintain distribution lists. • Develop and run metrics associated with campaigns. • Proofread and edit content. • Create and manage surveys. • Support Quality Assurance efforts for compliance. • Assist with audio/video requests. • Conduct marketing research projects. • Protect the integrity of the brand identity across communications. • Support leadership with ad-hoc requests. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field. • 5+ years of related technical writing experience. • Knowledge of Section 508 compliance. • Expertise using email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact). • Proficient in content development, proofreading, and editing. • Ability to work with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Comfortable working on both PC and Mac systems.
