Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Lead Bookkeeper / Virtual Bookkeeping Manager to oversee our remote bookkeeping team. You will manage and mentor two other bookkeepers, ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting, and deliver outstanding customer service to a variety of business clients. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, remote work environment. Key Responsibilities • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of 2 remote bookkeepers. • Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple small-to-medium business clients across diverse industries. • Perform and review bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing. • Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow). • Maintain accurate, up-to-date client financial records. • Provide clients with timely financial insights and professional communication. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting-related questions. • Assist with tax filings, compliance reports, and QuickBooks accounting support. • Recommend improvements to bookkeeping systems and internal controls. • Stay current with accounting best practices and IRS regulations. Qualifications • 2+ years of QuickBooks Online and ProSeries experience required. • Proven bookkeeping/accounting experience with team leadership responsibilities. • High school diploma required; degree in accounting/finance preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced work environment. • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. • Positive attitude, adaptability, and professionalism in client interactions.
