Role Description
This is a remote contract role for a Lead 2D Character Animator Toon Boom Harmony. The selected candidate will oversee 2D character animation projects, create high-quality animations, and ensure that characters have fluid, dynamic, and expressive movements. Responsibilities include motion capture integration, rigging, storyboarding, and collaborating with a team to bring creative concepts to life. The animator will work closely with other departments to meet production deadlines and achieve the desired visual style.
Qualifications
• Experience in Motion Capture and Rigging techniques relevant to 2D character animation
• Strong proficiency in Animation and Storyboarding processes
• Proficiency in Autodesk Maya or similar animation software
• Attention to detail and a solid understanding of character movement and expression
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills within a creative team environment
• Ability to lead and mentor other animators in best practices
• Previous experience in 2D animation for film, games, or digital media is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Fine Arts, or related field is preferred, but relevant experience is also highly valued
