Omexom Job Description Job Title: L&D Trainer Reporting to: L&D Business Partner Business Unit: Omexom Institute Role PurposeThe L&D Trainer will assist with training content creation and delivery. The purpose of the role is to design, deliver and evaluate learning and development interventions for Omexom UK & RoI. Responsibilities & Duties Including but not limited to the following: β€’ Design, deliver, and evaluate innovative Learning and Development interventions for Omexom UK & RoI, face-to-face or remotely, including management development programmes.β€’ Take ownership of the Project Management training programmes, building on current content and regularly delivering across the business. β€’ Deliver classroom and virtual training sessions which meet identified business requirements. β€’ Evaluate and analyse Learning and Development reports, applying suitable techniques. β€’ Recommend and apply actions to improve Learning and Development performance. β€’ Keep up to date and implement the latest research and theory related to Learning & Development and apply them to learning initiatives as appropriate.β€’ Collaborate and share best practice. β€’ Continually improve learning interventions by assessing their effectiveness and keeping abreast of changes and priorities within the organisation. β€’ Ensure that learning interventions are up to date and reflective of current internal and external practices. β€’ Using project management skills, ensure the smooth implementation and administration of L&D interventions through strong working relationships with internal stakeholders. β€’ Coordinate with the Institute team to enable delivery of courses and onsite competence assessments covering our workforce.β€’ Support the development of annual training programmes based on Business Unit forward requirements. Key Interfaces Relationships with key stakeholders: β€’ Learning & Development Business Partner β€’ Apprenticeship & Training Business Partner β€’ Technical Training Coordinator β€’ Omexom Institute Administrator β€’ Business Unit Administrators β€’ Operations / Project Managers β€’ Business Unit General Managers Person Specification Qualifications and Experience β€’ A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in a similar Learning and Development role.β€’ Demonstrable experience of training delivery. β€’ Minimum 4 GCSE Standard Grades including Maths & English. β€’ Excellent working knowledge of IT packages including online learning design software and bolthires Office. β€’ Experience in designing, producing, and implementing effective learning interventions and development plans. β€’ Experience in training needs analysis, general training design, and development. β€’ A solid track record of delivery within a complex business environment where Learning and Development knowledge has been gained.β€’ Excellent influencing skills with strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills. Preferable: β€’ Experience in a contracting, engineering, or construction environment. β€’ Degree qualification. β€’ Training qualifications. β€’ Project Management experience.
