Job Summary:

Our Client's firm is seeking to hire an experienced and accomplished attorney to assume a Partner role in our New Jersey
litigation practice with extensive experience handling all aspects in the defense of claims arising from motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall, premises liability, professional negligence, and others. Our clients in these matters include property owners, insurance companies, and municipalities.
• *This is a remote position, but candidate must live within commutable distance to New Jersey courts.**

Job Responsibilities:
• Litigating New Jersey insurance defense cases from inception to resolution, including handling all aspects of pleadings, discovery, depositions, court appearances, motions, mediations, etc.
• Conduct thorough research on applicable laws, regulations, and case precedents to develop effective legal strategies.
• Collaborate with claims representatives and insured clients to share legal strategies and insights, providing guidance and support throughout the litigation process. Develop and present clear, concise, and actionable legal opinions and strategies.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare clear, well-reasoned legal documents.
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and other court filings with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Accurately track and record time worked while understanding and applying billable hours principles to ensure proper invoicing and compliance.
• Act as the primary point of contact with claims representatives and insured clients to share legal strategies and insights, providing guidance and support throughout the litigation process. Develop and present clear, concise, and actionable legal opinions and strategies.
• Overseeing and mentoring junior attorneys and collaborating with partners on strategy for complex cases.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be currently barred in New Jersey.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school is required.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in litigation and liability matters (insurance defense required).

Preferred Skills:
• Experience communicating and collaborating with clients/claims representatives and key stakeholders to support case resolution.
• Ability to apply inclusive legal strategies that consider diverse perspectives and community needs.
• Ability to develop and communicate clear, concise, and actionable legal opinions and strategies.
• Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and court filings with detail and accuracy.
