Land Development Civil Designer

VHB is a dynamic team of engineers, scientists, planners, and designers seeking a Civil Designer to join their Land Development and Infrastructure team. The role involves collaborating on civil engineering plans, contributing to stormwater management and site layout, and supporting multiple projects from concept through construction. Responsibilities Collaborate with a team of civil engineers, planners, and designers to develop site civil engineering plans and specifications for a variety of land development and infrastructure projects Contribute to the design and development of stormwater management systems, roadway and bicycle infrastructure, utilities, and site layout Prepare construction documents, site plans, specifications, and engineering reports Assist with navigating local permitting and regulatory approvals Support multiple projects in varying phases, from concept through construction Mentor and support junior staff with technical development and project coordination Skills BS in Civil Engineering or a related field Minimum of 1–3+ years of relevant engineering experience Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required Experience producing site plans, construction documents, and technical reports EIT certification preferred or successful completion of the FE Exam MicroStation experience is a plus Familiarity with GIS is a plus Benefits Diverse and inclusive culture of collaboration and innovation Opportunity to work on complex, transformational projects Community and social responsibility as sustainable stewards Focus on learning, development, and career growth Best-in-class benefits, including flexible, hybrid workplace Company Overview VHB offers civil engineering, site and transit planning, GIS mapping, consulting, analytics, design-build, and structure designing services.
