Kubernetes/Network Function Deployment Engineer
Overview:
Seeking a skilled Kubernetes/Network Function Deployment Engineer to support the buildout and rebuild of 5G core network elements, with a primary focus on SMPCF, and secondary priorities in AMPCF and SCP. The ideal candidate will have strong Kubernetes expertise and experience deploying telco-grade network functions (CNFs).
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Deploy and rebuild SMPCF sets on updated software using Kubernetes
ā¢ Support deployment of AMPCF and SCP functions.
ā¢ Assist in tearing down legacy sets and migrating to new architecture
ā¢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (integration, field support)
ā¢ Ensure timely delivery of build milestones
ā¢ Maintain documentation, track progress
Required Skills:
ā¢ Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
ā¢ Deep understanding of 5G core & 3GPP call flow functions (SMPCF, AMPCF, SCP)
ā¢ Familiarity with CNF deployment, orchestration, and scaling
ā¢ Ability to troubleshoot across network, platform, and orchestration layers
ā¢ Experience working in agile, fast-paced, milestone-driven environments

ā¢ Experience with legacy-to-CNF migrations
