Junior WordPress Developer | Web Apps America LLC. | Handshake
The Junior WordPress Developer Intern will support the design, development, and maintenance of client websites. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience building real-world websites while working within a fast-paced, innovation-driven agency environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in building and updating WordPress websites using tools like Elementor, WPBakery, or custom themes
• Support website maintenance, including plugin updates, bug fixes, and performance optimization
• Implement responsive designs across desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Work with design mockups (Figma, Adobe XD, or UX Pilot outputs) to translate into functional pages
• Assist with basic SEO setup (meta tags, page speed improvements, image optimization)
• Support integrations (forms, CRM tools like HubSpot, email marketing platforms, etc.)
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing support for client sites
Preferred Qualifications
• Basic knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS (JavaScript is a plus)
• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor preferred)
• Understanding of website structure, hosting environments, and domains
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to follow direction and meet deadlines
