Junior System Administrator

The Junior System Administrator will maintain operational readiness for US Space Force missions, providing critical support for mission IT systems and ensuring effective system administration.ResponsibilitiesProvides Network, Storage, Windows/Linux Server Support, Database and Web Server Administration Video Monitoring Systems, and resolving helpdesk tickets beyond the ability of KBR’s Junior System AdministratorsAssist users with troubleshooting/correction of issues on mission IT systemsSupport test activities, technical troubleshooting, and anomaly resolution on mission IT systems to maintain 24/7/365 mission readiness and/or resolve issues quickly to minimize mission impactsPerform systems administration of desktops, databases, and server systems connected to developmental networksProvide desktop system management involving account monitoring, security, operating system (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions on mission-support IT equipmentAs needed, assist SW developers with establishing and troubleshooting DevSecOps environments to support SW development and test prior to deployment on mission equipment/networksSkillsActive Secret clearance requiredBachelor's degree in related field; or requires an equivalent combination of related training and experienceCertifications: Minimum IAT Level 1, hardware/software specific training/certificationsExperience with and understanding of NIST 800 seriesExperience with an understanding of ICD 503Military / DOD experienceClearable to TS/SCIBenefits401K plan with company matchMedicalDentalVisionLife insuranceAD&DFlexible spending accountDisabilityPaid time offFlexible work scheduleCompany OverviewAt KBR, we deliver science, technology and engineering solutions that are helping governments and companies around the world take on the great challenges of our time.
