Junior Social Media Assistant
Boys & Girls Club of Garfield is seeking a motivated and reliable Junior Social Media Assistant to support their social media efforts. This entry-level role focuses on assisting with content execution and gaining hands-on experience in digital engagement.ResponsibilitiesAssist with posting content across social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, etc.)Capture basic photos and short videos during programs, events, or activitiesEnsure posts follow brand guidelines and are appropriate for the audienceSupport simple content creation such as captions, graphics, or short clipsAssist with other related tasks as neededSkillsBasic familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook)Strong communication and organizational skillsReliable, punctual, and able to follow directionComfortable using a smartphone for photos/videosPositive attitude and willingness to learnPrior experience is a plus, but not requiredBasic knowledge of apps like Canva or similar toolsInterest in marketing, communications, or mediaCompany OverviewThe mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Garfield is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
