Junior Financial Analyst
TileBar is an Omni-Channel retailer and distributor of a wide variety of tiles and related products. The Junior Financial Analyst will manage financial reporting and budgeting, provide reliable data and analysis for decision-making, and assist with the preparation of presentations and financial reports.ResponsibilitiesBe a key member within the FP&A finance team to support ongoing analytical & reporting initiatives and annual budgeting/forecasting processesProvide FP&A finance team support with integration of new analytical initiatives, provide data validation, document process changes and create trainingAssist in data validation for the development of the companyβs weekly/monthly reporting package, annual budget, rolling forecasts, and the 13-week cash flow modelAssist in identifying business challenges; propose and create solutionsDive deeply into financial data and become a resource to provide additional insightsWork on corporate projects directed by the FP&A team that impact the entire organizationCreate presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be madeIdentify and research variances to forecast, budget, monthly reporting, and prior-year expenses β proactively identifying opportunities for improvementDevelop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organizationSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or have completed extensive related courseworkMinimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3, or show strong grades in accounting & finance courseworkExperience with financial data validation, building financial modelsStrong foundational knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principlesSolid training in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointInterpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with various management levelsTeam player with growth mindset and fast learnerAbility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environmentSuperior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big pictureDetail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to set prioritiesResults driven, with the ability to take initiative1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting or a related area.
