Junior Designer
ALA Studio is a full service architecture and interior design firm based in NYC, specializing in innovative designs for various commercial spaces. They are seeking a Junior Designer to contribute to interior design projects, assist with client communication, and support the design team in various capacities. Responsibilities Contribute to planning and concepting, BIM modeling, preparing design presentations, visualizations and construction drawings Assist with research, design, selection, specification, & documentation of interior design elements such as furniture, fixtures, finishes, millwork, lighting, etc Assist with on-site surveying, construction administration and FF&E/Styling installation review Communicate and interface with clients, engineering consultant, vendors, dealers, manufacturers, fabricators & contractors Learn from and work closely under our Studio Director and Project Managers Maintain materials library and develop product and sample collection Skills 0-3 post-degree years of relevant experience at an architecture or design office MUST have experience and proficiency in Revit and Enscape Comfort with multi-tasking and collaboration within a context of fast-paced projects Organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to take on a variety of tasks Excellent English language communication and client-facing skills Work examples that demonstrate a sophisticated design sensibility Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, Excel, Smartsheet knowledge is also required Located in NYC area and available start ASAP Legally eligible to work in the United States, without need for employer sponsorship Experience on DD/CD phases for interior architecture projects is a plus FF&E sourcing and specification experience a plus Benefits Subsidized health/dental/vision insurance Matching 401k HSA/FSA/commuter benefits options Basic life insurance PTO package with vacation, personal days and winter break Contributions to professional development costs Company Overview Web platform It was founded in 1997, and is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, USA, with a workforce of 2-10 employees.
