Junior AI Developer
Description *This is a part-time position. We are looking for a motivated Junior AI Developer to join our growing AI team. In this hands-on role, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and deployment of AI/ML systems with a focus on performance-critical, low-level components in an AWS cloud environment. You will work closely with senior engineers to implement efficient AI solutions, optimize model inference and training pipelines, and integrate AI capabilities into scalable cloud applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about systems-level programming, AI acceleration, and cloud-native development. Assist in developing and optimizing low-level AI components, such as custom kernels, performance-critical code for model inference, and hardware-aware optimizations (e.g., using CUDA, AWS Neuron, or similar). Build, test, and deploy AI/ML pipelines on AWS services including SageMaker , EC2 , EKS , Lambda , Bedrock , and S3 . Implement and maintain efficient data processing and model serving infrastructure in the AWS cloud. Write clean, efficient code in languages like Python and C/C++ for performance-sensitive AI workloads. Debug, profile, and optimize AI models for latency, throughput, and cost-efficiency in production environments. Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate AI features into applications. Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation of AI systems. Learn and apply best practices for MLOps, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines on AWS. Support monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting of deployed AI workloads using AWS tools (CloudWatch, X-Ray, etc.). Requirements Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with C/C++ (low-level programming experience is a plus). Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, neural networks, and AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX). Exposure to AWS cloud services (at least one or more of: SageMaker, EC2, S3, Lambda, or Bedrock). Understanding of performance optimization, profiling tools, and basic systems programming concepts. Familiarity with Linux environments and version control (Git). Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn low-level AI optimizations and cloud deployment.
