Judicial Work - Global Freelance Transcriptionist/Caption Editor

As Legal and Judicial agencies transition to a technology-driven workflow, VIQ Solutions is a leader in providing transcription services to various industries.

We are currently recruiting experienced Legal/Courts contract candidates who have experience transcribing depositions and hearings. This is a 100% remote opportunity for Independent Contractors.

Content to be covered includes depositions, hearings and other judicial proceedings. The work involves intense attention to detail in discerning what is said, familiarity with legal terminology and excellent grammar.

In this role you will process audio recordings, strictly adhering to style guides, to produce verbatim transcripts.

As an independent contractor for VIQ Solutions, candidates will have the opportunity to set their own schedule and claim available work that meets their needs while adhering to client turnaround times.

We have work available 24/7/365 to fit any schedule.

Skill Requirements:

· Excellent Listening Skills

· Adherence to Deadlines and Client-Specific Style Guides

· Outstanding Literacy Skills -- including comprehension, spelling and grammar

· Ability to Collaborate Remotely

· Typing Proficiency in both Speed and Accuracy

· Ability to Process Extreme Audio/Text Content (content may be offensive)

· Familiarity with Legal terminology

· Experience with court reporting, scoping or legal transcription required. Court reporting students will also be considered.

· Currently, this opportunity is not available to Massachusetts or California residents.

· Antivirus program with daily virus definition updates (Except Webroot antivirus)

· Infinity Foot Pedal (highly recommended)

· Work with Microsoft Word

Pay is per keystroke.

Payments are made twice monthly via direct deposit.

Pay: $19.00 - $36.00 per work hour for US-based

Pay: PhP30,000 to Php60,000 per month for Philippines-based

Other Global locations for applicant candidates include Ghana, Bangladesh, Romania, India, Guyana, South Africa and Kenya.
