They are looking for a Jr. Chemical/ Process Engineer to join their Advanced Facilities Electronics Team in Portland, OR, where the role involves engineering tasks such as developing process designs and specifications while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.ResponsibilitiesWork on state-of-the-art projects, implementing, modifying, and maintaining process designsAssist with the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specificationsDevelop flow diagrams, perform sizing calculations for pipe and equipment, and develop process specificationsAssist activities ensuring that design and construction conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirementsUtilize software such as PipeFlo, AFT Fathom, Bluebeam, and SmartPlantManage time and responsibilities effectively while maintaining a high standard work productSkillsMaster's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering+1 - 2 years professional experience, preferably in semiconductor market, with exposure to manufacturing processes, process engineering and design activitiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically ExcelWorking experience with Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Experience with ASPEN, PipeFlo (Professional and Compressible), AFT Fathom, HTRI, WinGems, and/or SmartPlantLocated within a commutable distance to the Jacobs Portland, OR office or client site with ability to work in person 3+ days per weekEngineer In Training (EIT) Certificate or on track to obtainExperience with Python & SQLBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionBasic life insurance401(k) planThe ability to purchase company stock at a discountDeferred compensation planExecutive Deferral PlanUnlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employeesSeven paid holidaysCaregiver leaveMerit increasesPerformance discretionary bonusStockCompany OverviewJacobs leads the global professional services sector delivering solutions for a more connected, sustainable world.
