Journeyman Electrician, UM Housing - Join Our Team!

About the Role:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and systems
Work collaboratively with other crafts to complete projects and provide excellent customer service
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues using test equipment and hand tools
Develop a working knowledge of the UM Housing department's electrical system and obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification
Research and order materials, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements:
Ability to assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, motors, equipment, appliances, and fixtures
Working knowledge of hand tools and power tools
Experience with conduit, ducts, tract, and raceways, as well as wire installation and circuit sizing
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical schematics
Knowledge of safety rules and procedures related to the trade, including OSHA regulations
