Job Description:
The Public Safety and Private Communications (PSPC) sector of the L3Harris Communication Systems (CS) segment is seeking a program manager to join our Land Mobile Radio (LMR) implementation team. Daily activities include interfacing with local government customer, laying out schedules and plans, managing the cross functions (systems engineering, factory technicians, financial analysis, etc.) and overall ownership of the successful delivery of LMR systems to the customer that is within scope, schedule, and budget.
Essential Functions:
 Scope Management: Ability to interpret contracts and maintain the scope baseline
 Schedule Management: Familiarity and use of MS Project for building and maintaining project schedules
 Cost Management: Ability to work with Excel spreadsheets and a program financial analyst for forecasting spend and controlling cost
 Risk Management: Use of a risk register to identify risk, determine financial exposure, and develop plans to mitigate risk
 Change Management: Ability to recognize and document potential changes in a Change Log and drive Change Orders that are profitable to the business
 Communication Management: Excellent verbal and written communication skills as this position is both outward facing (customer) and inward facing (internal team)
 Action and Issue Management: Use of an action/issue register to drive internal and external team meetings to keep progress moving forward
 Technical Acumen: Must have prior communications background or the desire to learn the basics of our radio infrastructure and radio productsTravel is estimated to be <25% through the state of Virginia via vehicle transport
Qualifications:
 Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
 7 years of successfully implementing large scale LMR or similar communication systems.
Preferred Additional Skills:
 Proficient use of MS Project Scheduling and other MS Office. applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 MS/MBA (Masters) degree.
 PMP Certified.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area and New York City, the salary range for this role is $125,000 - $227,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
