You will be asked to use QuickBooks Online to perform Accrual Basis accounting. You will need to follow our month-end close process and prepare financial statements for our clients.
DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Performing accounting functions within QuickBooks Online
? Ability to determine effect of accounting transactions based on an Accrual or Cash Basis
? Prepare the initial draft of monthly financial statements
? Lead the month end close process
? Maintain supporting Balance Sheet schedules, for example: Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, Fixed Asset Schedule, Payroll liability reconciliations
? Prepare and record month end journal entries
? Compete the full cycle duties for A/R and A/P
? Prepare and review payroll
? Prepare and review Sales Tax
? Primary communicator with clients
? Reviewing team member's work; support Controller in coaching and training less experienced team members
? Setting up new technology integrations and troubleshoot any issues
? Partnering with a variety of vendors and platforms to complete accounting operations (e.g. expense management software, payroll providers, etc)
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
? Experience working with multiple clients / entities (>5), across a variety of industries to deliver bookkeeping or accounting services
? 4+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience
? An Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; or bookkeeping certification
? Proficiency working in QuickBooks Online
? Proficient with accrual accounting, consolidated financial statements, revenue recognition, and executing the month end close process
? Analytical thinker that is skilled in creative problem solving and using independent judgment
? Exceptional attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and finish projects within a specified timeframe
? Enjoys engaging with clients
? High level of comfort with leveraging tools and technology to collaborate with remote team members
? Reside within one of the following states: Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and Minnesota Apply!
