Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and certified Special Education Instructor to join our team at the Acadiana Center for Youth in Bunkie, LA. As a Special Education Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing rigorous and engaging instructional experiences for students with disabilities, helping them to achieve their full potential and take their place in society.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and deliver instructional experiences that cater to the academic, communication, vocational, motor, self-help, and social needs of students with disabilities
Track student progress, reflect on teaching practices, and make adjustments to ensure student academic growth and achievement
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student
Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic development

Requirements:

Special Education certification in accordance with Louisiana Standards for State Certification of School Personnel (Bulletin 746)
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
