Position: Software Application Support Engineer, Apple Online Retail Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and talented Software Application Support Engineer to join our global team supporting the Apple Online Store, a world-class eCommerce platform. As a technical expert, you will provide critical support to our business and core engineering teams, leveraging your deep technical knowledge and understanding of the eCommerce platform.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Partnering with engineering teams to prioritize and fix production defects
Defining and evolving standard practices and procedures as a member of the support engineering team
Providing technical support and guidance to business and engineering teams
Collaborating with teams to mitigate incidents and resolve complex technical issues
Developing and implementing automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
To be successful in this role, you will need:
5+ years of software engineering experience in a large-scale environment, with at least 3 years focused on Application Support Engineering
BS degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
Coding knowledge in Java, Scala, and frameworks related to Java
Experience with monitoring, alerting, fault analysis, and automation
Preferred qualifications include:
Excellent follow-through, organizational ability, and flexibility in a dynamic environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive triage of critical issues with multiple teams
Knowledge of RDBMS, PL/SQL, NoSQL, and Unix Shell Scripting
