We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pre-K Aftercare Support Specialist to join our team at Uncommon Schools, a nonprofit network of high-performing public charter schools. As a Pre-K Aftercare Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and students in our aftercare program, creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment that fosters social-emotional learning and academic growth.
Job Summary:

Support teachers in managing the aftercare program for our pre-K 4-year-old students
Engage students in enriching activities, including outdoor play, snacks, and rest time
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of classrooms, ensuring a smooth start to the next school day
Support lead teachers with end-of-day closeout activities and ensure student safety at all times

Work Schedule:

Monday – Thursday: 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Friday: 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Requirements:

High School Diploma required
Passion for working with K-12 students and a commitment to their academic and personal growth
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Self-motivation, a strong sense of personal responsibility, and a willingness to learn and improve
