Key Responsibilities:
Assist special education teachers in implementing individualized education plans and providing instructional support to students with mild to severe physical, emotional, and learning disabilities
Prepare lesson plans, materials, and presentations to support student learning and development
Provide one-on-one and group support to students, including tutoring, socialization, and personal care assistance
Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement behavior modification plans and strategies
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of student progress and activities
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college or advanced education preferred
Experience working with special needs children or in a related field preferred
Ability to pass the ParaPro Assessment with a score of 460 or higher (training and support provided)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality
