Key Responsibilities:
Supervise students in the lunchroom, on the playground, and in the halls/corridors to ensure their safety and well-being
Guide students in developing desirable social skills and habits, and encourage healthy attitudes and good behavior
Maintain school rules and discipline, and report any incidents or concerns to the teacher and/or principal
Inspect playground equipment regularly and report any safety concerns
Respond promptly to student safety complaints and provide first aid when necessary
Collaborate with staff, students, and the community to create a positive and inclusive environment
Requirements:
GED or high school diploma preferred
Experience working with children and a desire to continue doing so
Positive leadership skills and a patient, friendly demeanor
Excellent communication skills and ability to follow oral and written directions
Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and move quickly around the playground
