Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and experienced educator to join our team as a Part-Time Instructor in Native American Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction, creating a supportive learning environment, and contributing to the development of our curriculum. Key Responsibilities:

Teach assigned courses in Native American Studies, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies to support student learning
Create and maintain a quality learning environment that supports the diverse needs of our students
Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with program and course outcomes
Provide academic support and advising to students, including registration, advising, and graduation processes
Participate in departmental meetings, in-service sessions, and other college events as required

Requirements:

Master's degree in Native American Studies or a closely related field, such as interdisciplinary ethnic studies, women's studies, or American Studies
Minimum of two semesters of college instructional experience in lower division Native American Studies (or closely related fields)
Documented successful completion of college classroom teacher training

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching as instructor of record for survey courses in Native American Studies or closely related interdisciplinary fields
Proficiency in the language of a tribal nation in New Mexico (Pueblo languages, Apache languages, or Diné Bizaad)
Experience utilizing a variety of teaching methods, including lecture, collaborative learning, individualized instruction, and hybrid or online modes
Experience teaching at institutions with diverse student populations or experience working in educational programs focused on marginalized communities
