About the Role:
As an Entry-Level Desk Adjuster, you'll work under supervision to provide exceptional claims service to our customers, utilizing multiple communication channels. You'll evaluate initial claims for completeness, process payments, and communicate with customers to explain settlements. You'll also escalate problems to resolve coverage issues or damage disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
Process payments for low to moderately complex claims
Collaborate with internal resources to facilitate claims resolution
Contribute to business goals, performance metrics, and effectively use tools & technology
Support workload surges and/or catastrophe operations as needed
Acquire and apply basic knowledge of claims insurance industry products, services, and processes
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Computer literate in a Windows operating environment
Ability to obtain an Insurance Adjuster's license within a designated number of attempts
Strong customer service, communication, organizational skills
Ability to work with routine and/or repetitive activities, and adapt to changes in process/systems
Accuracy and attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
Preferred Requirements:
College degree
Prior claims adjusting experience
Prior customer service experience
Experience using XactAnalysis and Xactimate
Active adjuster's License
Prior military experience
Training and Development:
We'll provide you with the training and support you need to succeed, including licensing, property & casualty insurance industry products and services, claims processes, systems, and technology.
