Join the Magic:
We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Food Prep Cast Member to join our team at the Disneyland Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation guidelines
Divide and organize food on serving dishes, ensuring portion control and plate presentation
Cook, mix, and season ingredients to create dressings, sauces, marinades, fillings, and spreads
Work with a variety of food items, including eggs, gluten, yeast, tree nuts, and more
Wash, peel, cut, scoop, dice, and julienne vegetables and fruits
Plan, measure, mix, and cook hors d'oeuvres, salads, pastas, sandwich fillings, waffles, and other food items
Operate cooking equipment, such as grills, gas ranges, electric reach, grills, deep fryers, serving tables, waffle irons, frying pans, skillets, and more
Work in various stations, including storage prep, cold prep, construction, and hot prep stations
Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation, including temperature control and HACCP protocols
Assist the chef in preparing items for guests with special dietary needs
Clean kitchen equipment and maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., culinary arts, hospitality)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds and stand for long periods
Basic knowledge of cooking equipment and kitchen safety protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
Enrollment in a culinary education program or equivalent
Bilingual or multilingual skills
