Job Summary We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative I to join our team for a summer employment opportunity. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for participating in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns, responding to customer inquiries, and providing exceptional service to our customers. Key Responsibilities Participate in high-volume outbound and inbound call campaigns based on assigned call lists. Adhere to approved call scripts and compliance guidelines. Provide consistent high-quality service to customers. Respond to customer questions while ensuring the highest standards of customer service. Utilize software, scripts, and tools appropriately. Appropriately document all encounters in clear and concise online logs. Employ empathic support to customers. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Education * High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience * Four to six months of customer service experience in a call center environment required. * Preferred experience working in a college financial aid office or college administrative office. Skills and Abilities * Good customer service skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Professional phone voice and etiquette. * Ability to follow instructions and scripts. * Skilled in active listening. * Proficient with computers, and good typing skills. * Strong time management and decision-making skills. * Knowledge of the FAFSA. * Knowledge of college financial aid and admissions processes. Work Environment * This is a remote position, and you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home. * Our office work environment is climate-controlled with no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
